Ted Koppel returns to open Richmond Forum's 40th season

At the conclusion of Saturday's event with Martha Stewart, the Richmond Forum announced the lineup for next season's installment of the speaker series, which will mark its 40th year.
The schedule runs from November-April, with five events during that time.
The first will mark the program's landmark anniversary as journalist Ted Koppel returns to the stage. He spoke at the inaugural event.

He'll be followed by:
- Former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, one of the youngest European leaders, speaks on "Europe's Next Generation."
- Political figures Joe Manchin, Andrew Yang and Justin Amash discuss "The Two-Party Problem."
- Actress and entrepreneur Tracee Ellis Ross speaks "On Identity, Impact, & Joy."
- Author John Green, who wrote "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Everything is Tuberculosis," will give a speech titled "Perpetually Curious."
The Forum is America's largest nonprofit speakers series.
“For our 40th season, we’re not just looking back at how far we’ve come, we’re looking boldly ahead,” Executive Director Heather Crislip said in a press release.
“We designed this season to reflect the complex moment we’re living in and to give our audience the tools and insights to shape what comes next. It’s not just a speakers series; it’s a launchpad for discourse and ideas.”
Current ticketholders are given a first chance to renew, but the program offers online subscriptions for $145 that allow at-home streaming access, and the ability to purchase unused tickets as available.
