Jay-Z's company hosting unique job fair at Convention Center
On Friday Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a number of companies with a local presence will be on site at the Richmond Convention Center for a large-scale job fair.
The event is being staged by Jay-Z's Roc Nation company, in conjunction with the REFORM Alliance. All job seekers are welcome, but there is a particular emphasis on those who have previously been imprisoned or on probation.
All employers have committed to giving both the formerly incarcerated and those with criminal records a second chance.
In addition to on-site employers, there will be a range of free services, according to a press release from the event:
- Resume Writing Consultation
- Job Interview Coaching Assistance
- Access to Professional Attire for Interviews
- Haircut, Styling and Grooming Services
- Photographers to Capture Professional Headshots
- Expungement Information and Support Services
There is no cost to attend.
