A first look at renderings of Richmond's new baseball stadium
The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney appeared at a press conference on Wednesday to announce naming rights for the new baseball stadium that will be built in Richmond.
The stadium, which will be known as CarMax Park, is scheduled to open in time for the start of the baseball season in April, 2026.
The team released these renderings of what the new stadium will look like. Of note, there is no longer an upper deck, but just one bowl of seating, with luxury suites above. Those suites can transform into event spaces when baseball is not being played.
